School Assembly
Supporting young people through music and dance
It is well documented that young people from all socioeconomic backgrounds face increasing levels of distress in their everyday lives. School-based activities can make a real difference.
What We Do
Our program is designed to entertain students while contributing to an informative, positive, and respectful school culture.
Inspiring Young People
To overcome challenges, build resilience, and set goals.
About Us
School Assemblies is a program created by Ivy Winston and the team at Bright Futures Growth and Development Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving students from pre-kindergarten to young adulthood.
Bright Futures supports young people in an under-served community with academic help, social enrichment, and the power of music and the arts.
About Ivy Winston
Ivy works to improve the lives of children and families in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The foundation for Bright Futures Growth and Development Center began in 1987 when she developed programs and taught severely emotionally disturbed children ages 6 to 13 and studied early childhood development at Merritt College.
She received specialized training under the direction of Dr. Robert Tyminski and developed ‘The OutReach Program’ for families to meet the educational and therapeutic needs/goals of individual children and groups.
